“Are you right with the Lord?  Have you put your faith in Him?  Now more than ever we need to turn back to the Lord and follow Him.” We often see and hear this during mass chaos.  Yet let us be challenged that this is something to be considered every day.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

I expect this is a prayer the psalmist prayed more than once. And rightfully so.  It would do us good to pray this every day so our minds stay humbled before God, fearing Him and keeping our heart’s door open to His ways, making our thoughts captive to Jesus Christ.

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

From the song “Follow Through” by Unspoken

“Let my life be a beautiful garden

That You plant and bring forth a harvest.

Oh God, won’t You use me.

Through every season, keep growing stronger,

Living my life to bring You honor.

Oh God, Yours is the glory.

Over and over, every minute,

Closer and closer, I am committed.

I’m not gonna follow this fickle heart of mine.

More than my hands raised high,

More than the tears I’ve cried,

More than a one time

This is a lifetime of chasing You.

I feel Your Spirit move.

A love I cannot refuse.

Help me surrender, once and forever,

And follow through.”
