pouring into you so you can pour into others

There is so much in God’s Word for us to learn, so much to understand and to apply to our lives in the way God means it to be. When I read, I want to glean every possible truth all at once, but that’s really not possible. For God is so much greater, and so beyond our full understanding! Yet let this not stop us from reading, but rather encourage us to continue in our desire to know Him!

In Exodus 5:22-6:8, God is questioned about why He had not yet delivered the Israelites after Moses and Aaron approached Pharaoh in the way God had told them. At this point Israel believed God had forgotten them, so God saying “Now you will see what I will do” meant God’s deliverance would be beyond their understanding, so that they would see and believe that He is so much greater, He had not forgotten them, and He is their God! He is our God!

God works His plans in His time and in His ways, for reasons way beyond our capacity of understanding. So to think we only have to read through the Bible once to understand Him, to get to know Him, to fully see His heart and His love for us, would be a great loss. We would miss out on all that He wants to show and teach us – at the points in our life when we can consume more truth. And so I continue to read and share, hoping and trusting that God is filling you with His truth as you also continue to read and share God’s Holy Word.

Pouring into you so you can pour into others.

UPHILL BOTH WAYS

“It was a cold and windy day on our way to school, and the snow was blowing so hard it would freeze on our faces faster than we could say frosty the snowman. We had to walk to and from school when I was growing up, and we walked uphill both ways!” And everyone laughs...

Good & Faithful

I’ve been reflecting on the question am I doing the things God has laid on my heart, using the gifts God has given me in the way He wants me to. And as I reflect, I thought I would share my thoughts here in the hopes that it both challenges and encourages you as well....
